Bitmine purchased about $43 million worth of Ether last week, lifting its holdings to 5.7 million ETH as the company entered the Russell 1000 Index.
The acquisition moves Bitmine closer to its stated objective of owning 5% of Ether’s total supply, underscoring the scale of its crypto accumulation strategy.
The purchase coincided with Bitmine’s addition to the Russell 1000, an index tracking large US-listed companies.
Bitmine has not yet reached its 5% target, but the latest transaction increases its exposure to Ether and further concentrates ETH among a major corporate holder.
